Numerical Analysis of Different Vibrational Relaxation Models for Master Equations

چکیده
We present in this report two modelizations of vibrational relaxation processes in a gaz: the Landau-Teller (LT) model and the master equations (ME). We give diierent models for VT and VV rate constants. We propose an algorithm to solve the equations of vibrational relaxation (LT or ME) coupled with conservation equations of momentum and total energy. Both models are compared on the computations of the ows around an innnite cylinder, at diierent Mach numbers. Master Equation Study of Hydrogen Relaxation Using Complete Sets of State-to-state Transition Rates
The complete sets of state-to-state transition rate coefficients for both target and projectile molecules are derived from the predicted response surface designed by the ordinary Kriging model. A system of master equations is constructed for bound-bound and bound-free transitions with these designed transition rate coefficients, and the rovibrational number densities are numerically evaluated b...

Using a NASA database of state-to-state transition rates for N+N2, master equation studies are performed for various nonequilibrium heat bath conditions. In these master equation studies, relaxation of the rotational and vibrational modes, time variation of chemical composition, reaction rate coefficients, and average rotational and vibrational energy losses due to dissociation are each conside...
متن کاملVibrational relaxation at a metal surface: Electronic friction versus classical master equations.
Within a 2-D scattering model, we investigate the vibrational relaxation of an idealized molecule colliding with a metal surface. Two perturbative nonadiabatic dynamics schemes are compared: (i) electronic friction (EF) and (ii) classical master equations. In addition, we also study a third approach, (iii) a broadened classical master equation that interpolates between approaches (i) and (ii). ...

An equivalent continuum model based on the Eshelby-Mori-Tanaka approach was employed to estimate the effective constitutive law for an elastic isotropic medium (i.e., the matrix) with oriented straight carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The two-dimensional generalized differential quadrature method was an efficient and accurate numerical tool for discretizing equations of motion and for implementing vari...
متن کاملPresentation of two models for the numerical analysis of fractional integro-differential equations and their comparison
In this paper, we exhibit two methods to numerically solve the fractional integro differential equations and then proceed to compare the results of their applications on different problems. For this purpose, at first shifted Jacobi polynomials are introduced and then operational matrices of the shifted Jacobi polynomials are stated. Then these equations are solved by two methods: Caputo fractio...
